Lovely hotel, very clean inside and out. We had a triple bedroom for 3 ladies and it was perfect for our 2 night stay. Bathroom is very small but we didn’t find this a problem. We were able to sleep with the window open as it was lovely and quiet at night and we were very kindly given breakfast with our stay, only had it once on the last day. Usual continental breakfast but it was nice, thank you Lancaster! The reception staff and cleaners we spoke to were all very nice and helpful. Tram stop seconds away from the hotel so very easy getting to different areas of the city without being right in the middle of it all.

This is our 2nd stay at the Lancaster, that firstly should highlight how nice it is. The location is perfect for those who want to be close enough to experience Amsterdam but enough removed to relax. There is a tram stop close by so once your feet get tired, it's just a quick hop on the tram. the staff are great and always willing to help, reception staff are especially helpful. There is a turndown service every 3 days, but we had our room tidied for us 3 of the 4 days we were there. the checkout time is 12pm which is great for those leaving, and they have baggage storage for those on a later flight home.

Amazing location in a leafy district with a zoo located opposite the hotel (the sound of a flamingo flock along with the usual morning birdsong was lovely). The mattresses were comfortable and the linen good quality. There was a coffee machine and a kettle with supplies topped up. Easy to use shower and the handsoap/shampoo/body wash dispensers were full. Good choice for breakfast (choices of milks inc. oat, cereals, yoghurts, cheeses, salads, scrambled/boiled eggs, excellent loaves daily, Dutch Apple pie, pastries). Lovely, welcoming reception staff. Space to store luggage.

This was our third stay at this location. We like it in particular because of the staff. They are all incredibly helpful and friendly. Also the location, it's a nice and quiet part of the city and it's easy to get to other parts of the city. There are numerous fun things to do and locally-owned establishments nearby. This time, my husband's sister accompanied us to help celebrate his 70th birthday. She had a minor problem with the plumbing in her room, but as soon as we informed him and he could, Jeremy put her in a new room (which we really appreciated).

The location of this hotel was pretty ideal. It was just outside of the core of Amsterdam but still walkable (about a 20 minute walk to the heart) and very close to transit options. We didnt discover until our last day that it is also across the street from a bird sanctuary including a flock of flamingos. There were plenty of food options nearby and grocery stores. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was also very clean and our room was in great condition when we arrived.
